    Sizing, Alterations & Care

    Can I alter the length of my dress?
    Many of our dresses are designed for easy alterations, especially those with crochet patterns. However, not all dresses can be altered without affecting the design. For specific questions, contact Customer Care.

    Do crochet patterns affect the fit of the dresses?
    Yes, since our dresses are handmade, each one is unique. Different crochet styles can cause slight fit variations, but all our dresses have uniformly sized silk linings and are cut generously.

    How should I care for my dress?
    To prevent shrinkage and fading, we recommend dry cleaning your dress.

    Domestic – United States

    • Free Shipping: We offer free ground shipping on all U.S. orders over $150.
    • Carrier: We ship via UPS from California.
    • Estimated Delivery Times: 3-5 business days
    • Processing Time: Orders start processing the next business day. Orders placed on Friday will begin processing on Monday.
    • Expedited Shipping:
      • Two-day and overnight orders are prioritized.
      • Place your order by 1 PM PST to ship the same day; otherwise, it ships the next business day.

      International

      • Shipping Method: We use USPS Priority Mail International Flat Rate Boxes.
      • Estimated Delivery: 6-10 business days (for most major markets; delivery times may vary).
      • Customs & Duties:
        • You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or additional charges imposed by your country.
        • Customs authorities require us to state the value of your order on the package.

      What You Can Return or Exchange

      • We accept returns and exchanges on items that are in their original condition: unworn, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged, and with all tags still attached.
      • Returns sent without an approved return label will be returned to you at your expense.
      • Sale items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.

      Domestic Returns

      1. Request a Return: Email us at contact@soulmatesdress.com within 3 days of receiving your order. Include your Order Number, SKU number, and reason for the return or exchange.
      2. Receive Return Label: We’ll email you a prepaid USPS return label within 1-2 business days.
      3. Prepare Your Package: Fill out the Return Exchange Request Form included with your order and place it in your return package. Attach the prepaid USPS Return Label.
      4. Ship Your Return: Drop off your package at any USP Office.
        • A $15 processing fee will be deducted from your refund for each return.
        • If you prefer to use your own shipping method, please choose a courier service with tracking capabilities.
      5. Return Deadline: Your return must reach us within 10 days of the Return Label issue date.
      6. Exchanges: We’ll ship your exchange as soon as it’s available and email you the tracking information.

      International Returns

      • Follow the same steps as Domestic Returns.
      • You’re responsible for return shipping charges, including duties and taxes.
      • Refunds will be processed within 1-3 business days upon receiving your return. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your account.

      Refunds

      • A 10% restocking fee per item will be deducted from your refund, except for exchanges or returns for store credit, which have no restocking fee.
      • Refunds will be processed within 1-3 business days after we receive your return. The refund will be credited to your original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your account due to varying processing times by payment providers.

      Wrong Item Received

      If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us immediately by email or phone. We’ll arrange a replacement or, if unavailable, help you select another item.

      Repeated Returns

      We offer a flexible returns policy, but we monitor returns and may refuse future orders if items are returned repeatedly.

      Important Note

      We only process returns for items purchased through our online store. Items bought from department or specialty stores must be returned to the original place of purchase.
